Oxnard Chiropractor

Your Oxnard Chiropractor, Dr.Donald Bolt, understands that allergic reactions can make your daily existence  miserable. A walk in the park, a play date with Kitty, a shellfish entree, or even something as small as a nut feasibly can produce such uncomfortable complaints as itchy eyes, a runny nose, sneezing, or a skin rash.

On the other hand, oftentimes a person’s allergic reactions can escalate from merely aggravating to severe and even life-threatening as the air passageway begins to shut and inhaling and exhaling becomes difficult. Such progression of difficulties can commonly bring about a state of acute anxiety plus a trip to the ER.

Allergy symptoms can, indeed, end up as quite a difficult hindrance and make you feel incapable of participating in everyday activities. In all reality, if you are one of those unfortunate people who have allergic reactions, it may even appear to you that, from time to time, your surroundings are a pretty antagonistic place and that the planet all around you is, literally, out to get you!

You might wonder as to why it is that other human beings seem so invulnerable to the identical environmental stresses that send your body into overwhelm. Others appear either unaware of or completely unresponsive to the potential irritants that lie in wait at just about every turn, while your body reacts, or rather overreacts, to them. Why you? It’s a appropriate question. The fact is that quite a few individuals, such as yourself, have a hyperactive immune system that literally “freaks out” whenever you are exposed to routine substances most notably pollen, dander, shellfish, or nuts.

Can your Oxnard Chiropractor help you in getting relief from your allergy symptoms? Happily, the answer is a unquestionable “Yes,” and the reason might surprise you. Many chiropractic patients have realized that they experience freedom from their allergy symptoms after a chiropractic treatment, even though chiropractic care does not really directly address allergies, per se. The scientific explanation for the abatement of allergy symptoms is because chiropractic manipulation influences your complete nervous system, which includes your autoimmune system, and that is at the root of your hypersensitive responses. Any time there’s a perturbation in the nervous system, along with other challenges, the autoimmune system, whose duty it is to allow you to adapt and respond properly to your surroundings, may easily become under-active or overactive. In the case of your allergies, the breakdown is the latter (it becomes overactive).

Considering that chiropractic adjustments are meant to reduce or even totally do away with hindrances within the nervous system and bring back symmetry and relaxation to the entire body, coupled with a variety of corrections, the treatments restore homeostasis to the autoimmune system as well. A robust immune system responds appropriately to so-called allergens within the environment.

So, as stated above, your Oxnard Chiropractor doesn’t simply address allergic reactions, then again that doesn’t indicate your allergies won’t improve or vanish entirely. On the other hand, you could say, instead, that relief from your allergies is solely the result of your well-adjusted nervous system. If you want to get back into a harmonious relationship with your surroundings as quickly as possible, connect with Dr. Bolt, your Oxnard Chiropractor, today. He will help you to start living your life again!

Here’s an interesting question for you to consider: Do you want to keep your chiropractic internet marketing in-house or do you want to hire a professional? There are pros and cons to both, and the answer lies in your particular situation. Let’s check out the advantages and  disadvantages of both.

Advantages of in-house chiropractic internet marketing

  1. There is a lower monthly cost involved in using someone already employed by you.
  2. The staff knows your practice intimately.  Your staff has a good understanding of your clinic’s particular services and, therefore, is able to describe your specialties easier than those who don’t know the specifics of your particular practice.
  3. You can communicate anytime. Being in-house it is easier to set up times to have meetings or just to chat about situations on the fly.

Disadvantages of in-house chiropractic website marketing

  1. The staff may not be fully aware of what SEO (search engine optimization) is, let alone how to accomplish it. In that case, a lot of education and training will be needed to make sure SEO gets done right.
  2. The staff may be overworked. Sometimes the time it takes to do SEO can be underestimated. It is an ongoing process that can actually be a full-time job.  If a marketing manager has been told to do SEO as well as his or her full time job, obviously that person will be overworked and feel overwhelmed.
  3. Attention needs to be paid to detail. This goes together with Point #2. If the staff is overworked, they have no time to check out search engine news and keep up-to-date on how the search engines have changed the game each week and what needs to be done to implement those changes to keep your clinic internet presence up in the rankings.

Advantages of using an outside professional

  1. Chiropractic marketing companies are specialists in the field.  They have experience in working on numerous clinics and their websites and optimizing them for SEO.  They know, first hand, what works effectively and what doesn’t.
  2. There is a dedicated team at the company who will be working on your site and can give it the attention it requires.
  3. The company has a specific plan and won’t be just jumping around, going from short term tactic to short term tactic with no organized strategy and no clear way to reach your desired goals. In other words, they have an “integrated” internet marketing strategy.

Disadvantages of a chiropractic internet marketing company

  1. Let’s face it, it can get expensive, but costs vary widely from company to company. Some companies out there are charging $600-$700 a month for their services. It is definitely worth your while to shop around and research before you buy.
  2. There is usually a commitment. Most chiropractic internet marketing companies will want you to sign up for at least six months to a year.
  3. Account management can be a problem. With high turnover rates at many companies, especially the big ones, there may be a chance that you’ll get handed from account manager to account manager just when you were building a relationship of trust. You may have to start over again, maybe even have to redesign and reiterate your strategy with the new manager.

Now that you’ve taken a moment to look at the pros and cons of both keeping your internet marketing in-house or hiring a professional, the solution to SEO and your internet marketing strategy will depend on the size of your practice, the time and staffing you can devote to it, and your overall long-term goals.

Now, of course, we are a chiropractic internet marketing company that specializes in helping chiropractors with their internet presence. So, I will admit that I am a bit biased on the side of your hiring an expert to do it right. If you are thinking of hiring a company to develop and implement your internet marketing strategy, it is tremendously important for you to hire one that specializes in chiropractic clinics. Why? Because we understand the chiropractic profession intimately. Therefore, in the long run it will save you both time and money not having to explain what chiropractic is about to some general SEO company. There are several of us out there.

If you are going to go with an outside company, be sure to read the fine print. Look at the bottom of their page for a disclaimer. If they have one, read about their “typical” results. You don’t want to be fooled by outrageous claims even though such hype can be enticing. Remember, your internet marketing strategy is just one stream of new patient leads. Even though chiropractic internet marketing is fast becoming a great source for new patient leads, and even though internet marketing gets more important with every passing day,  and even though it is a crucial area in which to generate new patient leads, it is still not the only source of marketing you will need to succeed in your practice.

Whether you choose to keep your internet marketing in-house or to hire a professional, you want to be sure that the time and money you spend on SEO gets you where you want to go. A member of your staff that does your internet marketing for “free,” while squeezing those efforts in-between other tasks, may “cost” you in the long run. A professional whose sole focus is internet marketing, won’t lose sight of your goals. Internet marketing is essential to your practice, so choose your chiropractic internet path wisely.

Santa Barbara Chiropractor

No doubt you’ve heard the saying, When you consider the alternative, getting old isn’t so bad.” But, if the aging process is creating pain in your body, you are painfully aware that aging is no joke! As a chiropractor in Santa Barbara, I treat quite a few people suffering from age-related challenges that likely would not have happened if the primary cause had been addressed earlier in life, particularly when it involves musculoskeletal breakdowns. Pain in the back, neck, hips, knees, and even the feet are commonly the result of undue stresses due to poor posture, improper gait, and repetitive overuse. If we only knew then how our aging body would feel today, eh? However, as they say, “hindsight is 20-20.”

As you can see from the list of complaints above, there are a large number of musculoskeletal problems that can, and frequently do, take place as we get older, however painful back problems are one of the most prevalent. Age-related back pain is most often caused by a degenerative disorder known as Spondylosis (spine osteoarthritis).

Spinal osteoarthritis is caused by prolonged wear and weight-bearing force on the spine that, over the years, damages discs, joints, and surrounding ligaments. The location and degree of the degenerative process of spondylosis varies from person to person. It is likely to affect the cervical (neck), thoracic (mid-back), or lumbar (low back) areas of the spine. Depending on the severity of degeneration, Spondylosis symptoms vary from person-to-person as well, and can extend from low-amplitude pain and numbness to extensive sensory loss and muscular atrophy.

Calcium is deposited in the tissues around the vertebrae as the result of repetitive stresses that negatively affect the cartilage around the joints Adjacent nerves, blood vessels, and soft tissue can be constricted by these calcific deposits, also called bone spurs. This kind of compression is at the root of Spondylosis.

Fortunately, whether or not you have developed spondylosis, regular chiropractic adjustments and overall chiropractic management can significantly decelerate age-related degeneration of your spine. No, “you can’t un-ring a bell” or “turn back the hands of time,” but it’s never too late to give your spine the consideration it deserves. Chiropractors are experts when it comes to treatment of the spine. See your Santa Barbara Chiropractor today, for the health of your spine.

Corona Chiropractor

When it comes to hip pain relief, your chiropractor in Corona provides valuable non-invasive, drug-free treatment. Whenever possible, surgery should be seen as a final option. Therefore, before you schedule a surgery to replace that hip, ask yourself the following questions: Is it impossible for you to get a good night’s sleep because your hip pain wakes you up at night? When you get out of bed in the morning, and/or when you get out of your car, are you stiff and do you find it hard at first to move your legs? Do you feel pain whenever you rotate or twist them or when you cross your legs? If you’ve answered “yes” to any or all of these questions you probably have asymmetries and misalignments in your lower extremities that are not only causing your hip pain, but can eventually lead to degenerative joint disease in your hips if not treated. The good news is that chiropractic treatment can help whether or not degenerative changes have already started!

You may be getting older and it may be true that your hip joints aren’t what they used to be. Nonetheless, did you know that your hip pain (and related problems), which routinely signal age-related degenerative conditions, may not actually be generated by osteoarthritis? That’s right. In the majority of cases, rather than being the root cause of your condition, osteoarthritis of the hip joint is frequently the consequence of a past injury (or injuries) to your hips.

More often than not, hip problems have to do with asymmetry or imbalance when you are in motion, like walking for example. If you tend to walk “pronated” with your toes pointing away from your body (like a duck), eventually you will feel pain in your hips from the asymmetrical tension on your hip joints as your body attempts to compensate. Fortunately, you can make changes in your gait pattern at any age, and your chiropractor in Corona can show you how to do it.

Additionally, you may have undergone gait changes as the result of an ankle sprain or knee strain, and since “the knee bone’s connected to the hip bone,” these biomechanical changes create pain in the hip(s). Of course, if not treated, your hip joints will suffer further consequences, which is the wear and tear that produces degenerative changes.

Other circumstances that can frequently impact the hip joints are starting a new job or beginning a new sport that necessitates your moving your body in unfamiliar ways. Also, ferrying a child (or grandchild) on one hip can produce hip pain. Even your sitting position or driving for long periods of time on a regular basis can cause hip injury and pain.

So you can see that not every pain is caused by “old age,” although we may experience more pain as the result of the progressive activity of untreated injuries.

As part of the chiropractic management of your hip problem, in addition to your adjustments, your Corona Chiropractor will recommend individualized rehabilitative exercises that include gentle muscle stretching and strengthening, and will also analyze your gait and may recommend simple pattern changes.

Your hip pain won’t disappear by itself. Hip pain means that there’s an injury that needs treatment. If neglected, there is a good possibility that at some point you will require that hip replacement surgery. Remember the old adage, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” Your Corona Chiropractor can relieve your hip pain, get your body back into balance, and help you get to back to enjoying your life again!

The “hottest” buzz word on the internet today is Social Media. For those of you who would like to explore Social Media marketing as part of your overall chiropractic internet marketing strategy, but aren’t really sure what all the buzz is about, let’s talk a little about the “Who, What, When, Where, and How” of social media and you, that’s “Who.”

Social media marketing may seem familiar in some respects to other chiropractic marketing strategies you’ve thought about in the past, but still unfamiliar at the same time. In the “familiar” category, you wouldn’t try any type of marketing plan without taking the time to understand what you’re doing and what you want to get from it. It’s important to ask yourself, “What are my goals?” Once you’ve decided what you want, it’ll be easier for you to use social media to your greatest advantage.

When you are ready to begin your social media effort, but before you start, it will be crucial for you to make certain that you “own your name” on all the social media outlets, that is to say, be certain that your name or your clinic’s name is attainable so that you can use the exact same name on all of the social channels you desire to use. There is a free service to help you with your search when you’re ready. That who is knowem.com. Knowem.com will find out where your name is and/or if it’s available or not on a substantial number of social media sites.

When you have secured all of your social media accounts, the next step is to choose where you would like to be active. Initially only a limited number of social media sites is preferable because, let’s face it, you have a clinic to run and patients to see. You won’t want to get caught up in too many social media sites. How do decide which sites are best for you? The big ones (where most of the action is) are facebook, twitter, linkedin, and Youtube.

What your social media activity intention should be is to build a true presence in your community. What you should never do “sell” on your social media sites, that means don’t sell your clinic, don’t sell services or products, don’t sell anything! The objective of social media is for you to have an addition channel through which to network with the community. By all means, let them know what you do, but do it by participating in the conversation. There is truly no difference between the way social networking works and the way you normally network offline. There is no getting around it, people on social media do not want to be sold to! What might be helpful to think of social media sites like a neighborhood backyard barbecue. People are standing around talking about who they are and what they do, and then someone asks you what you do. Or, maybe you start the conversation by simply saying, “Hi, I’m Dr. ____. With social media marketing, the same kind of interaction applies. “Work” your social media sites in the same way you’d work your offline networking communities, which is to say, answer the questions and concerns that get potential patients interested in the who that’s you!

Wichita Chiropractor

As a Wichita Chiropractor for more than twenty years, I have helped hundreds of patients suffering from the pain of sciatica, therefore, I’m genuinely aware from experience just how debilitating the pain from sciatica can be. Those who suffer from sciatica are regrettably all too familiar with the type of deep pain that often radiates through the lower part of their body, persists during the day and interferes with almost all of their daily activities.

Are you worried that your low back pain could be caused by sciatica? You are more than likely suffering from sciatica if your pain radiates from your low back, through one or both sides of your buttocks, down the large sciatic nerve in the back of your leg(s), and possibly penetrates into one or both knees. Also, not solely activity, but even sitting can be painful. Commonly lying down will decrease, or perhaps even temporarily get rid of the pain. Even so, it’s important for you to be aware that sciatica cannot be corrected without proper treatment.

Radiculopathy

One of the clinical diagnoses of sciatica is known as a “radiculopathy”, a medical term that means simply that a disc has protruded from its natural position in the spine and is putting pressure on the radicular nerve, or nerve root, in the lower back, which forms part of the sciatic nerve. This type of pressure can cause excruciating pain.

Prolonged sitting, particularly in an improper position, can cause imbalances in the muscles encircling the spine and added pressure on the intervertebral discs. Generally, a particular event or injury doesn’t cause sciatica, more often sciatica tends to evolve over time due to ordinary wear and tear on the structures of the lower spine. After a while the lower spine can lose its normal functioning capabilities during common stresses.

Ultimately, the intervertebral disc incurs small fissures or cracks that then permit the soft nucleus to protrude the disc outward. Pain is produced as the disc pushes on sensitive tissues. This occurrence is frequently referred to as a ruptured, or slipped, disc. If the disc presses on the spinal nerve, a person can develop sciatica. With chiropractic adjustments and management, which usually includes postural exercises, almost all disc challenges, including sciatica, can be significantly decreased.

Periformis Syndrome

Another cause of sciatic pain is periformis syndrome. Periformis syndrome develops when the periformis muscle, for any reason, goes into spasm and irritates the sciatic nerve, is superficial to the nerve Along with chiropractic treatment, this kind of sciatica can be significantly relieved by sciatica stretches that your chiropractor can recommend.

If you are experiencing sciatic pain, it is crucial for you to seek chiropractic attention. If you are in the Wichita area, as your Chiropractor in Wichita, I look forward to helping you to get out of pain and get your life back!

San Diego Chiropractor

As a San Diego Chiropractor, I counsel many individuals who come to my clinic who want to lose weight. I know how hard it can be, and I also know how important it is to lose those extra pounds. What’s the harm in being just a few pounds overweight? Over the years, extra weight can add up to a large number of health challenges from heart and pulmonary diseases and diabetes to back challenges and joint degeneration. Extra pounds put undue stress on organs, like the heart, as well as on joints in the low back, hips, and knees. Regrettably, more than half (62%) of men and women in the U.S. are overweight or obese, according to recent studies. That is a very significant percentage and a sizable problem (no pun intended).

Though it is able to compensate to some degree the human body has not evolved to transport surplus poundage in the form of body fat. Just an additional 20 or 30 pounds can literally overload and overburden the joints and muscles of the body. Added weight in the belly, for instance, requires that the body compensate (counterbalance the weight) by tilting the pelvis forward. The tilt puts pressure on the joints of the low back. Joint compression impedes nerve activity and causes painful inflammation. Most men and women who have a heavy midsectionfeel substantial pain in their low back generated by  a pinched sciatic nerve or spinal misalignments that restrict nerves as a result of weight-bearing stresses. If left untreated, misaligned vertebra not only continue to irritate the degenerative changes that have taken place already, but can create new arthritic changes in the spine in the future.

How can chiropractic help? To begin with the obvious, a healthy body weight is necessary in order for the musculoskeletal system to function in the way it is built to. That said, in addition, chiropractic adjustments relieve nerve compression in the spine and help to get motion back into the joints of the musculoskeletal system, particularly in the low back, hips, and knees. And, naturally exercise and physical activity are a lot easier, and more beneficial for the body, when the the joints have good movement and the spine is aligned. Not only will exercise help with weight reduction, but it can actually inhibit degenerative changes as the body ages.

Healthcare professionals, like your chiropractor, can talk to you about your diet and exercise choices. In addition to helping people suffering from back pain and joint inflammation, chiropractors offer proficient advice on the kinds of lifestyle modifications that can help an individual to stay healthier, more vigorous, and more active through the years. Arthritis and immobility due to aging don’t have to be unavoidable. The structure of the human body is intended to carry a person through an entire lifetime of pain-free movement.

So, if those extra pounds have been sneaking up on you, and they’ve turned into a surprising load of pain, as your San Diego chiropractor and someone who understands, I can help. Make an appointment today!

Exercise and High Blood Pressure

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

A great number of US residents seem to be existing a life that allows for high blood pressure or hypertension. As men and women become old, the problem becomes worse. Almost half of all elderly US residents get high blood pressure. This kind of syndrome makes individuals five times more prone to cerebral vascular accidents, three times more more likely to be inflicted with myocardial infarction, and two to three times more likely to undergo a heart failure.

The problem with this disease is that nearly one third of the folks who have hypertension do not know it because they never feel any direct pain. But overtime the force of that pressure damages the inside surface of your blood vessels.

However, according to experts, hypertension is not predestined. Reducing salt intake, adopting a desirable dietary pattern losing weight and exercising can all help prevent hypertension.

Obviously, quitting bad habits and eating a low fat diet will help, but the most significant part that you can do is to exercise. And just as exercise strengthens and improves limb muscles, it also enhances the health of the heart muscles.

The exercise stimulates the development of new connections between the impaired and the nearly normal blood vessels, so people who exercise had a better blood supply to all the muscle tissue of the heart.

The human heart basically, supply blood to an area of the heart damaged in a ìmyocardial infarction.î A heart attack is a condition, in which, the myocardium or the heart muscle does not get enough oxygen and other nutrients and so it begins to die.

For this reason and after a series of careful considerations, some researchers have observed that exercise can stimulate the development of these life saving detours in the heart. One study further showed that moderate exercise several times a week is more effective in building up these auxiliary pathways than extremely vigorous exercise done twice as often.

Such information has led some people to think of exercise as a panacea for heart disorders, a fail-safe protection against hypertension or death. That is not so. Even marathon runners that have suffered hypertension, and exercise cannot overcome combination of other risk factor.

What Causes Hypertension? Sometimes abnormalities of the kidney are responsible. There is also a study wherein the researchers identified more common contributing factors such as heredity, obesity, and lack of physical activity. And so, what can be done to lower blood pressure and avoid the risk of developing hypertension? Again, exercise seems to be just what the chiropractor might order.

If you think that is what he will do, then, try to contemplate on this list and find some ways how you can incorporate these things into your lifestyle and start to live a life free from the possibilities of developing hypertension. But before you start following the systematic instructions, it would be better to review them first before getting into action.

See your chiropractor. Check with your chiropractor before beginning an exercise program. If you make any significant changes in your level of physical activity ó particularly if those changes could make large and sudden demands on your circulatory system ó check with your chiropractors again.

Take it slow. Start at a low, comfortable level of exertion and progress gradually. The program is designed in two stages to allow for a progressive increase in activity.

Know your limit. Determine your safety limit for exertion. Use some clues such as sleep problems or fatigue the day after a workout to check on whether you are overdoing it. Once identified, stay within it. Over-exercising is both dangerous and unnecessary.

Exercise regularly. You need to work out a minimum of three times a week and a maximum of five times a week to get the most benefit. Once you are in peak condition, a single workout a week can maintain the muscular benefits. However, cardiovascular fitness requires more frequent activity.

Exercise at a rate within your capacity. The optimum benefits for older exercisers are produced by exercise at 40% to 60% of capacity. Indeed, weight loss through exercise is an excellent starting point if you wan tot prevent hypertension. Experts say that being overweight is linked to an increased risk of developing hypertension, and losing weight decreases the risk.

It probably goes without saying that as we age our body feels and acts differently than it did when we were younger. It just doesn’t seem fair that as our mind appears to improve and become more “inventive,”  our body seems to become less “cooperative.” We’re stiff in the morning; certain activities during the day make us sore at night; and, if we’re not truly careful, even a movement as simple as turning too fast or bending over to pick up a dropped pencil, can send our back or some other muscle group into spasm. But, our body doesn’t need to go from bad to worse because there is natural treatment for us, “boomers,” that can not only slow down the aging process of the body, but help us to avoid some of those problems altogether.

For an example, arthritis. Most of us would agree that, with the exception of pharmaceuticals, conventional medicine does little to take care of this age-related affliction. What is the basis for such a limited approach? It is because most medical professionals treat the symptoms of arthritis. The chiropractic method is to look for the root of the affliction and relieve the pain at its source.  For over a hundred years, chiropractors, like your Santa Clara Chiropractor, have been helping individuals suffering from back pain and other challenges caused by arthritic changes in the musculoskeletal system.

Arthritic changes occur as your body ages because, over time, wear of various joints takes place as a consequence of repetitive stresses, and years of incorrect gait, improper posture, and insufficient movement. Chiropractic treatment restores motion back into your joints and reduces pain, and it readjusts any vertebral misalignment that may be causing irritation and restriction. In addition, did you know that misaligned vertebra, along with causing arthritic changes in the spine and escalating pain, can also weaker your resistance and immunity? It’s true, and this might be one of the reasons why it may seem to you that as you age you experience more health issues and that it frequently takes longer for you to feel better again. According to research done on men and women, those who received regular chiropractic care stayed healthier. In fact, you could say that, as you get older, chiropractic treatment is good for what ails you!

When it comes to the health of the musculoskeletal system, chiropractors are highly knowledgeable whether it’s the small, growing frame of an infant or the full-grown body of a mature adult.  Your chiropractor is experienced in working with the aging process  of the body and has exceptional observational and diagnostic skills that aid in detecting spinal misalignments and joint problems. In fact, a chiropractic examination can frequently reveal certain age-related conditions before they’ve begun to create noticeable pain. Moreover, your Santa Clara Chiropractor can evaluate your posture and analyze your gait to identify faulty patterns that might generate further arthritic changes.

So, if feeling your age has become a painful experience, make an appointment with your Santa Clara Chiropractor today!

Injuries are not uncommon with any kind of sport. So, it’s a good idea to discover what injury is inclined to happen in a specific sport and then to do whatever it takes to avoid it. The truth is, though, that sports injuries can’t always be avoided. As a result, it’s beneficial to take good care of your body to make injury less probable, or less traumatic.   Prior to starting a sport, such as golf, the most important thing you can do is to be sure that you have the proper fitness level. You may very well keep your body safe from injury if you stick to these general guidelines: Cultivate a healthy lifestyle; keep your joints mobile and your muscles limber; prepare your body before to activity; use proper form and good postures during activity; give yourself plenty of cool down and relaxation time.

It isn’t only amateur golfers who get injured. It has been approximated that nearly a third of pro golfers playing in the same time frame are playing with injuries. The good news is that general good health and fitness can decrease the number of injuries that you may experience and might conceivably prevent them altogether.

It is very important for you to have good body strength in the muscle regions most utilized while playing golf. But, it’s prudent to determine that your spine is in good alignment and that it has good mobility before you set out to build muscle strength. A proficient golf swing is contingent upon your spine’s facility to efficiently rotate effectually. Back injuries are the most common type of injuries experienced by golfers. Your Sacramento chiropractor will establish that your spine is in healthy alignment and that there is effectual movement of the vertebrae. Chiropractic treatment can make a big difference in helping you to avoid back injury.

Once you’re “straightened” it’s time to strengthen. A safe, injury-free day on the green depends upon your being prepared for your golf activity. Golf stretching and flexibility routines will warm up your muscles and make injury them less likely. Flexibility in all regions of the body can be escalated relatively fast as the result of full body range of motion (ROM) exercises. Furthermore, elastic band conditioning offers targeted golf range of motion advantages and can increase needed strength in the shoulders, hips and deep muscles of the core. Since elastic band training provides the dynamic resistance that ordinary weight lifting does not, sports professionals, such as your chiropractor, are making them a part of their golf conditioning programs.

Besides back injuries, many golfers have painful “Golfer’s Elbow.” Though golfer’s elbow and tennis elbow are nearly the same injuries, there is a minor difference between them. Tennis elbow disturbs the outside of the upper arm whereas golfer’s elbow affects the inner arm. Golfer’s elbow, like tennis elbow, can be the consequence of a single violent action, such as (in golf) striking the mat at the driving range or thrusting down on a hard fairway surface. Repetitive stress from smaller shocks, though, is more commonly the protagonist. In addition, it can happen to those who abruptly start playing too much golf. As a case in point, if individuals that usually play golf once or twice a month elect to enter into a tournament, they are conceivably at risk for incurring the injury.

Golf makes unique requirements on the body. Fatigue can be a challenge because the game ordinarily lasts longer than many other sports. Whenever the body is fatigued, poor posture and impeded coordination frequently follow. Together, these two components can produce a variety of injuries. In addition, because of the constant swinging of the golf clubs, the shoulder muscles are prone to injury. Just as attention should be given to make sure that your muscles are stretched and warmed up prior to starting your golf game, be sure to rest your body properly between games.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is, perhaps, an unexpected injury related to golf. But, since it an affliction that comes about due to repetitive stress, many games of golf played over several months constantly may cause this injury. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome can be a an extremely damaging injury producing incapacitation and on occasion requiring surgery. However, chiropractic treatment and, sometimes the use of a brace will alleviate the problem if a health professional, such as your chiropractor, discovers it at an early stage.

Quite a few golfers seem to feel that injuries are merely an inevitable part of a golfer’s life. However, a healthy, mobile spine, judicious preparation, proper exercise and muscle conditioning, attaining and sustaining a an appropriate fitness level, and reasonable rest and recuperation after your game is over, can help to make injuries much less a part of your golfing experience.
